Longevity & Anti-Aging Project

Printer-Friendly Version

YES, IT’S TRUE. WE ARE STARTING TO LIVE LONGER LIVES.

On this web site there are two other projects related to health and healing. One is called the HEART/BRAIN project and the other one is listed as the HEALING project. Because both of these are valuable but were created prior to January 2009, a quick look at all of them may help clarify where your own interests lie.

Because there have been an increasingly large number of books and other materials made available specifically mentioning words such as longevity or anti-aging during the last decade, I have decided to include this 3rd list for people specifically interested in knowing how humanity is extending its life span.

As we are learning, new research and scientific evidence related to the genome project—and further advances by a wide variety of scientific fields—now confirms that we humans are actually extending the number of years we live! While this is good news for the human species in general, the ways in which age is extended for each person must also contain information identifying how each of us can age without pain and suffering!

Society must also consider how to structure human life patterns so it does not bear huge expenses for Medi-Care and health charges usually expected during an aging person’s ”declining years.”

The question then becomes:  If you could live longer and be comparatively healthy, would you wish to do so?

If you choose to live to be 100, how would your longer daily life be experienced? What would your goals be? And would you be willing to make necessary changes to release any negative perceptions, activities and attitudes you presently hold?

Those questions and your answers about living a longer life may make you curious enough to explore some of the materials suggested on this list...as it did for me.

There will be overlapping items from the other two lists, of course, so have fun noticing which items have an *ASTERISK  SYMBOL which indicates I have personally read and learned from that item myself.
